WonderRoot's new professional development program intends to forever impact the participating visual and performing artists by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and community-base to significantly advance and define their careers as artists. The call for applications to the Walthall Artist Fellowship is open through June 5th at 11:59 p.m. Fellows will be announced on June 8th. Program elements include: -Monthly symposia with Atlanta’s leading arts professionals, -Monthly roundtables in which Fellows lead discussion about critical issues to their practice -Individualized one-to-one informal mentorships for each Fellow -5-day residency on Ossabaw Island -Group exhibition featuring all twelve artists in Summer 2013 at MOCA GA. Symposium guests will include: Alex Brewer, Scott Ingram, Gyun Hur, Cathy Fox, Michael Rooks, Annette Cone Skelton, Shelby Hofer, Lauri Stallings and Alice Lovelace.
