Claudia Wilburn joined the WCAGA in 2011, thus making her one of our newest members. She has a MA in Fine Arts. The Brenau University in Gainesville, GA is honored to have her as an Assistant Professor of Studio Foundations. In 2006, the Columbia Museum of Art name awarded her the title of Young Artists of the Year.
Claudia Wilburn’s body of work has a starting point in her memories. Not the memories of places and people but more the memories of emotions and situations. She says that culture, relationships, nature and travel are important in creating her work. She uses various digital and manual printing techniques and combine that with scanning and drawing.
She will have a Solo Exhibitions in Brenau University’s Castelli Gallery in January 2012.
