Let's get to know our members - weekly (Ellen Filreis)

Ellen Filreis is a visual storyteller and loves it as much as she loves life. She wants to transform the world into a happy place by telling stories of others, herself or objects, places and events. She uses everything she can find in her work to create a unique individual mixed media happening with each art work. Her creations keep on talking as long as you are willing to listen. These images are from her gallery. To see more please visit her website PetitsTrésors. You can also find her contact details there.

Her work is included in the permanent collection of the International Museum of Collage, Assemblage and Construction in Texas. She has been part of shows all over the country in galleries like Longview Fine Arts Museum, TX and Rosenzweig Gallery, NC. Her collages and assemblages are published in “Under the Influence” and “White on White”.

You can look at her pieces over and over again and discover something new each time. Her special occasion pieces, e.g. for a graduation or wedding gift are unique works of art.
