Exhibition The exhibition Material Witness seeks to broadly represent artwork defining our time.  Organized by the Georgia chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art in collaboration with Agnes Scott College, the exhibit will present the perspective of women artists from across the United States working in a variety of media. Through their art they process the world around them, their work becoming a document of these times.
Eligibility Open to all self-identified women who are 18 years of age or older living in the United States. All work must be original and completed in the past three years. It is the juror’s discretion to choose single or multiple works from each artist’s submission.
Media To support the focus and breadth of the theme Material Witness, all media will be considered including, but not limited to two or three-dimensional works, video, installation, and performance.
Catalogue A full color catalogue of the exhibition will be printed. Each accepted artist will receive one complimentary copy; additional copies will be available for purchase. An online exhibit of the accepted works will be featured on the WCAGA.org website for one year following the opening of the exhibit.
Awards $1500 in cash prizes, as chosen by the jurors, will be awarded during the exhibitions opening reception: First prize, $750, second prize, $500, third prize $250.

Entry Fee Each artist may submit 3 images for a non-refundable fee of $30 for WCA members, $40 for non-members. Each additional image, including detail images, are for a non-refundable fee of $5 each, limit 6 images total. The entry fee does not cover shipping expenses. Credit cards are accepted via online submission only. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Women’s Caucus for Art of Georgia. WCA members must use a discount code at the online (CaFE) checkout to qualify for the $30 entry fee.  Email to: code@wcaga.org with your membership number to obtain the code.

Agreement Submission of an entry to WCAGA constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant to all the conditions set forth in this prospectus. WCAGA reserves the right to reproduce accepted entries for publicity purposes. Accepted work that differs from the digital juried image may be excluded from the exhibition. Please do not send images that contain borders or text that is not part of the original work.
Online Submissions Digital submissions, and entry fees are accepted via CaFE’ (Call for Entry) at www.callforentry.org.  There is no additional fee to use the CaFE online application system. File formatting info is available on the CaFE website. Applications must be received by Midnight April 1, 2013. (MST)
Mailed Image Submissions Submissions must be postmarked by March 15, 2013. Submissions postmarked after this time will not be considered. Artwork must be submitted in digital format. CD’s will not be returned, therefore original files should not be sent. Clearly label discs with artist’s full name and email address.
IMAGE FORMAT: Artists must submit digital entries in JPEG format on CD only. Image files should be labeled with the artist’s three initials followed by the corresponding entry number. Example: jlp1.jpg. Images should be oriented correctly, the pixel size approximately 1500 x 2100 with images no larger than 10 Mb, 300ppi. Detail images must include the word Detail in the file name. Example: jlp2detail.jpg.
VIDEO FORMAT: Original video can be any length. Entries need to be a sample that is 3 minutes or less saved in .mov  format that is a maximum of 720 ppi.
STATEMENT: Please include a text document not exceeding 250 words. Label the file with your three initials and TEXT. Example: jlpTEXT.doc. Artist statement may be read to the jurors, and will be available in the gallery for all selected artists.
