For Vickie Martin, inspiration comes from various sides of life, music, geometric shapes and architecture. She uses a variety of material to create mixed media art, acrylic, ink, charcoal and collage. She also uses a variety of techniques to create her work, painting, scraping, rubbing. Her creating can be described as the ebb and flow of the sea or a musical piece.

She has been working with the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in bringing art to children. Vickie Martin has been part of numerous groups and solo shows. Her latest show can be seen at the DeFoors Center. She plays an active part in her community and in the art world.
